This may range from a full schedule of sightseeing or more casual, relaxed vacations at the beach or in any a host of designated campgrounds. Sports vacations can be fun for families too. There are plenty of sports museums that the whole family can enjoy. The secret to a great family vacation is to know your family's main interests and enjoyments. All that remains is to coordinate these with a whole world of places to see and things to do.

Sightseeing in a state or national capital can be a week or more of fun as well as a learning adventure for parents and children.
